Other supervillians in this game, besides Dr. Doom, include Venom, The Scorpion, The Lizard, The Green Goblin, The Sandman, The Kingpin, The Hobgoblin, Electro and Dr. Octopus. Each player character has a different weapon or power that can be used throughout the game while fighting. Spider-Man uses his webs, The Black Cat uses her "cat's claw" grappling hook and cable, Hawkeye uses his bow and arrows and The Sub-Mariner uses his hydro-electric charges. The game ends when the fourth and final chapter has been completed.

Comment: "The game is really unique with the way the perspective zooms in and out. If you're scaling a building, the camera zooms way out so you can see the majority of the building. When you step on a ledge or start to fight, it zooms in close to show the action.
I don't know if anyone really cares, but SEGA re-used music from Quartet in this game. "

Comment: "Really good side scroller action game. Only downer was Hawkeye and Namor characters weren't as good as Spider-man or Black cat. All the classsic Spider-man villains appear (the Green Goblin fight is superb) and the way gameplay moved form 3d to 2d gave the levels quite a good degree of variety."
