Game Details

Side scrolling beat 'em up. Play as either Mike Haggar (ex pro wrestler), Cody (street fighter) or Guy (street fighter/Ninja type). 1 or 2 players battle their way across the city to an eventual showdown with the gang leader who has kidnapped Mr. Haggar's daughter, Jessica (apparently as a protest against his mayoral skills). Striking and grabbing moves available to each character. Strength/speed differ (Haggar strongest & slowest, Guy weakest & quickest). Often many enemies on screen at same time providing opportunities for multi bad guy pile ups. Powerups include weapons (swords, knifes, drainpipes etc.), food (meat) and points bonuses (gems etc...).

Should you fail in your task the continue screen shows you tied to a chair with several sticks of dynamite ready to go off in your face if the crucial additional coin/token isn't provided. What more reason do you need? and besides, what about poor Jessica?
