by Midloth. Comment: "Readyyyyyyyyyy, Aaaaaaaaaaiimmmmmm, FIRE!!! This wonderfully addictive game consumed many hours and quarters as my wife and I blasted at each other's ships and castles. This was one of the few games that we were able to enjoy together. (Yes, my wife would actually hang at the arcades with me!) I loved the way the cannon balls arced, getting larger as they reached the apogee of their trajectory. And the little cannons that ships would deploy if they landed succesfully were a nice touch. I've played a few console adaptations of this game, but they've never quite hit that level of fun that the arcade version held for me." (2004-09-06 19:17:35Z)

Rampart, Atari 1991 ------------------ Notes: * There are 2 versions of Rampart: - 2 player version that is straight JAMMA and uses joysticks to move pieces - 3 player version that uses trackballs to move pieces. * Both version have all options set from the test screen * In chatting with folks, game play of the 3 player version is much nicer than the 2 player version (game rocks, BTW) * I believe that the Rotate buttons double as start buttons for the 3 player versi

Early Atari documentation list
Submitted by Gregg Woodcock (woodcock@bnr.ca) Here is a pretty complete list of documentation for Atari's early arcade video games. Note that "TM" stands for "Technical Manual" and "DP" stands for "Drawing Package [supplement]" which was later renamed to "SP" which stands for "Supplement Package". I am not sure what "CO" stands for but the "C" could be for "Correction" because most of the CO documents were errata or addendums to the manuals. In addition, most Atari games had "ST" documents which w
