A run through the city and beat up all the bad giys game in the same vein as games like Final Fight. Judy has been kidnapped by the crime syndicate and Frank, Chris, and Alfred must save her.

Basically Legionnaire is a Final Fight clone. Frank, Alfred, and Chris (a female) set out to rescue Frank's girlfriend, Judy, from the evil crimelord in the city. In typical Final Fight fashion, you travel through the city from left to right beating up any and all bosses you encounter. There are five stages and there is a boss at the end of each. Control is with an 8-way joystick, an ATTACK button, and a JUMP button and can be played cooperatively by two players.

Pressing JUMP twice quickly in succession causes your player to dash and if he/she contacts an enemy, he/she will throw them. Pressing ATTACK and JUMP at the same time throws an explosion straight down and damages all the enemies nearby but also takes away from your own health. Pressing JUMP twice quickly then ATTACK causes a special move which is different for each of teh three players.

There are some interesting moves in the game that seem to borrow from Street Fighter II. There is one enemy that does a spining kick like Ken does. There is another guy that sort of looks like Guile, but does the rapid hand like Chun Li. Chris' special move reminds me a lot of Ryu's fireball.
